1 Megawatt Solar PV Array System
PROJECT INFO
After the finalization of the Logistics Center of America (LCA), Phoenix Contact was quick to pursue an alternative clean energy project to further expand on their dedication to an energy conscious campus. The project was realized with the implementation of a 1 Megawatt Solar PV Array System which was constructed on the rooftop of the LCA.
The solar array system consists of 2,150 solar panels that generates up to 1,160,254 kWh of power. Not only did the project assist the LCA in achieving Net-Zero Energy by producing more energy via Renewable Solar PV than it consumes, it complements Phoenix Contact's STEM, internship, and apprentice programs to educate youth, prospective engineers, and technicians about clean renewable energy technology and its benefits.
